John L. Keith

John L. Keith

John L. Keith, 85, of Noblesville, passed away on Monday, December 25, 2017 at Riverview TCU in Noblesville.  He was born on January 13, 1932 to Beulah & Morris Handschin in Moingona, Iowa.  He was then adopted by Harry and Judith (Lindahl) Keith.
John proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, a veteran of the Korean War, and graduated from Grandview Junior College in Des Moines, IA, and CW Post College in Long Island, NY.  John was a Civil Engineer and drafting artist, working for Pepsi Co. and Cast Iron Pipe Research.  He also ran an antique consignment shop.  John was a member of Noblesville First United Methodist Church and Noblesville American Legion.  He served as past president of Cancer Services of Hamilton County, and held memberships in the Noblesville Lions Club, Svea Lodge 253, the NRA, and Mended Hearts. 
John is survived by his children, Sheryl (Andre H.) Penu, who was the daughter of Beryl Magee; and Karen (Christopher) Le Plastrier & Brian Keith, who were the daughter & son of Jean Keith.  He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, Keith (Ariel), John, Jesse & Mark Penu, Faith (Samuel) Brewer, Jessica, Gregory (Nicole) Oliver & Kathryn Flor, Haley (Kevin) Hast, and Hannah & Hollyn Keith; great-grandchildren, Catherine Hast, Charlotte Hast, Amethyst Brewer, and Lincoln Oliver (on the way); and his brother, Norman (Vickie) Handschin.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Helen Keith on January 9, 2017; and his brother, Conrad Faber.
Burial & Committal Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, December 29, 2017 at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at 11:00 am at Noblesville First United Methodist Church, 2051 Monument Street in Noblesville, with Pastor Dick Judson officiating.  A meal at the church will follow the celebration.  Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, Noblesville, has been entrusted with arrangements. 
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wounded Warrior, Project PO Box 758516, Topeka, KS 66675.
