John E. Trittipo
12/24/1950 - 2/10/2021
John loved his family and friends, being in nature, wildlife, the national parks, and music. He was peace-loving, fun-loving and a friend to all he met. He has been described as being easy-going, kind, gentle, caring, generous, devoted, optimistic, and hard-working. He was an avid recycler. John enjoyed living in the 1897-built home near downtown Indianapolis and found peace at his wooded retreat near Cloverdale, IN.
John attended Lawrence Central HS (1969) and Ball State University. He was a member of the Sierra Club and Indiana Landmarks. He gave to the Wheeler Mission Homeless Shelter. He began his career as an independent building contractor and retired 12/31/20 as a sales rep with Richelieu, providing specialty hardware for the woodworking industry.
John is survived and loved by his wife, Sara Love and son, Julian Trittipo (Korryn Lockwood); brothers Tom (Cyndi), Paul (Dora), Dave (Donna); aunt, Miriam Hanscom, and his many cousins, nieces and nephews, in-laws and good friends near and far. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Jody Trittipo.
A memorial will be announced at a later date.
