Johnnie A. McGee , 86, of Noblesville, passed away on Saturday, April 9, 2011 at home. He was born on July 2, 1924 to William and Ollie (Nelson) McGee in West Point, TN.
Johnnie had been a firefighter for the Noblesville Fire Department for 20 years, retiring in 1973. After that he had worked for Scott's Plumbing. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army; and was a member of the Noblesville Masonic Lodge and the Good Sam (camping) Club. He attended the Nazarene Church in Noblesville.
He is survived by children, Joyce (John) Kirkpatrick, Diana Geren, Vickie (Don) Densham & Gary McGee; grandchildren, Kristi (Brett) Bowman, Erika (Chris) Kirkpatrick, Courtney (Abel) Becerra, Leslie (JJ) Harris & Nicholas Densham; nine great-grandchildren; sister, Clara Bell Pyke; and three brothers, Grady, Ralph & Ray Bill McGee.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wife, Helen McGee; brother, William E McGee; and sister, Maxie Caperton.
Services will be held at 7:00 pm on Thursday, April 14, 2011, at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan Street in Noblesville, with visitation beginning at 3:00PM prior to the service. Rev. Jim McGee will officiate. A private burial will be held at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville on Friday.
