Jonathan "Jon" William Cecil, 28, Noblesville, passed away unexpectedly Friday, December 5, 2008 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born September 13, 1980 to Richard Cecil and Susan (Dearing) Cecil in Valparaiso, Indiana but grew up in Farmington, New Mexico.
Jonathan worked for the past year as an automotive technician at the Noblesville Wal-Mart. He also worked as an electrician for MAK Electric for three years, and as an electrician at LD Molin Electric for eight years.
He was a member of the First Church of God, Light House Tabernacle. He also enjoyed playing on Nintendo and PlayStation 3; had a passion for building model airplanes and rockets; was an avid Colts and NASCAR fan; and loved to cook. Having grown up in Farmington, New Mexico he loved to camp and go hunting with his family and searching for gold in the mountains with his dad. Jon always lived life to the fullest and took every day as an adventure.
He is survived by his parents; wife, Karen (Sells) Cecil of Noblesville, Indiana; daughter, Elizabeth "Baby Girl" Cecil of Noblesville, Indiana; sister, Marianne (Allen) Offholter of St. Louis, Missouri; sister, Angie (Kenneth) Gordon of Speedway, Indiana; brother, David (Holly) Cecil of Las Cruces, New Mexico; mother & father-in-law, Kay & Bill Sells of Noblesville, Indiana; grandmother, Geri Dearing of Indianapolis, Indiana; grandfather-in-law, Ernest Russell of Noblesville, Indiana; brother-in-law, Joe (Jessie) Sells of Sheridan, Indiana; brother-in-law, Ryan (Missy) Sells of Noblesville, Indiana; nieces and nephews, Aliyah, Mikayla, Phillip, Mac, Rainee, Claudia, Drew, Alex, and Chloe.
He is preceded in death by Grandma Great, Granddad Hitch, Grandparents Oliver & Velma Cecil, Aunt Joan Dickerson, Grandpa Frank Dearing, Uncle Jim, and Mammy.
Services will be held at 1:00PM on Wednesday, December 10, 2008 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home in Noblesville. Friends may call Tuesday, December 9, 4:00 - 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.
In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions be sent to the Elizabeth "Baby Girl" Cecil College Trust Fund, c/o National City Bank.
