Joseph Michael Dezelan, 80, of Noblesville, passed away on Monday, August 12, 2013 at Riverview Hospital. He was born on October 15, 1932 to Frank and Agnes (Hajec) Dezelan in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Joe worked as an accountant for 33 years, and retired from a position with the State of Indiana in 1995, and served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a graduate of Cathedral high school; a 1958 graduate of the University of Notre Dame; and a member of St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church in Westfield. He enjoyed volunteering at Riverview Hospital, and was a big fan of Notre Dame football.
He is survived by his daughters, Susan (Joe) Edwards, Anne (Jeff) DeCocq; son, Chris (Deb) Dezelan; sister, Dolores (Dezelan) Doyle; grandchildren, Erin & Emily DeCocq, Jack & Alex Dezelan; and his beloved niece, Mary Agnes Bussing.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wife; Mary Ellen (Reidy) Dezelan; brothers, Louis Dezelan, Henry Dezelan, and Frank Dezelan; and sister, Anges Milharcic.
Services will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, August 16, 2013, at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, 17102 Springmill Road, in Westfield, with Father Kevin Haines officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, August 15, 2013 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road, Noblesville. Burial will be at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.
