Joseph R Spurgeon

Joseph R Spurgeon, 54, of Westfield, passed away on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born on April 20, 1969 to Ronald and Lan (Nguyen) Spurgeon in Saigon, Vietnam.
 
Joe graduated from Terre Haute North High School and from Indiana State University. For 30 years, he worked as a nurse, the last 25 years as an RN at St. Vincent Stress Center. Joe was a patriot and supporter of the NRA and the Republican Party.
 
He is survived by his wife, Deanna Spurgeon; mother, Lan Thi (Dennis) Kallio; son, Justin Laine (Jade) Spurgeon; daughter, Emily Kae Spurgeon; brother, Steve Spurgeon; nephew, Buddy Spurgeon; nieces, Jennifer Weddle and Rachelle Wilkes; and grandsons, Hunter Spurgeon and Harrison Spurgeon.
 
Joe was preceded in death by his father, Ronald D. Spurgeon; and his brother, Donald Spurgeon.
 
Private family services were held. The Spurgeon family has entrusted Randall & Roberts Funeral Home with Joe's care.
