Joyce Hodson

Joyce V. Hodson, 91, of Noblesville (formerly of Wrentham, MA), passed on to be with the Lord on Friday, June 7, 2013. She was born on July 29, 1921 to Harry and Anna Lachman in Allentown, PA.
Joyce was a Scout leader; a Past President of VFW; and a member of the American Legion, Independent Order of Odd Fellows, and the Congregational Church in Wrentham, MA. She served four years in the USO; was published in 'WWII Duty, Honor, Country' book; and received the Distinguished Hoosier Award from Governor Mitch Daniels, Jr. of Indiana.
She is survived by her three daughters, Linda Halle of IN, Faith (Ross) Merchant of NH & Carolyn (Tom) Dorion of GA; six grandchildren, Jason (Vicki) Halle, Anissa (Ike) Strege, Daniel (Karen) Merchant, Julie (Greg) Ellis, Anna Pollard & Rebekah (Scott) Maglio; and 13 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Everett E. Hodson; and three sisters, Helen Bastian, Myrtle Lachman & her twin sister, Jean Ellsey.
Services will be held at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at Radiant Christian Life Church in Westfield, where she was a member, with visitation beginning at 11:00 am immediately prior to the service. Pastor Gary Sobol will officiate.
