Juanita Holmes, 91, of Noblesville, passed away on Friday, February 1, 2013. She was born on February 19, 1921 to Albert Shaw and Esta Mabel Robinson in Zionsville, Indiana. She grew up in Home Place, and graduated from Carmel High School. She married Herschell Holmes on November 24, 1939.
Juanita was a homemaker until their children were raised, and then she worked at Farm Bureau Co-Op Bulk Plant for 15 years until her retirement. She was a member of First Friends Church in Noblesville.
Juanita is survived by her daughters, Phyllis (Neal) Graham and Pamela (Ronald) Loy; grandchildren, Darrell (Gail) Roberts, Robin Kron, Dwayne (Jamie) Roberts, Dean (Rhenda) Graham and Brad (Chris) Graham; great-grandchildren, Jeremy (Carrie) Roberts, Jessica Roberts, Jennifer Roberts, Auston Kron, Kennett Roberts, Jesse Roberts, Brandon Roberts and Alica, Logan, Travis, Dawn, Bryan & Chad Graham; sister, Sara Pike; niece, Marian Fladland; and nephews, Denny, Richard & Dallis Pike.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Herschell Holmes; daughter, Patricia Roberts; brother, Marvin Pike; and granddaughter, Amber Freeman.
Services will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, February 4, 2013, at Randall & Roberts Fishers Mortuary, 12010 Allisonville Road in Fishers, with Pastor David Adams officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, February 3, 2013 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in Indianapolis.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made, in Juanita's memory, to First Friends Church, 1055 Division St., P.O. Box 375, Noblesville, IN 46060.
