Jules J. Donoff, 92, of Noblesville, passed away after a brief illness, on December 17, 2012. He was blessed with a long rewarding life. He was born on December 23, 1919, to Steven and Irma (Lamboitte) Donoff in Hartford City, Indiana. He married Bette Whetsel in 1942, and they shared 56 years of marriage before her death.
Jules was a graduate of Alexandria High School where he starred in basketball and baseball. He went on to attend Purdue University and served in the military during WWII, where he fought both in Europe and Japan. He was a 40-year employee of Firestone Tire and Rubber Company; a long time parishioner of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Noblesville; Past Commander of the American Legion; and a member of the VFW, Moose, Elks & Eagles Clubs of Noblesville.
He is survived by his two sons, Mick Donoff of Laguna Beach California and Thomas Donoff of LaQuinta California.
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM on Friday, January 4, 2013, followed by a Rosary at 7:00 PM and will be held at Randall Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan Street in Noblesville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Noblesville. Burial will be at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.
