Katharine "Kitty" Campbell

Sadly, Katharine “Kitty” Campbell, of Noblesville, passed away in her home on April 11, 2025 at the age of 75, due to complications of COPD. Born on August 7, 1949 to Dr. Sam and Jeanne (Hayes) Campbell, who both preceded her in death, Kitty attended Noblesville schools until her senior year in high school. At the time, her family relocated to New Castle, IN, where Kitty graduated from Chrysler High School. She continued her education at National College of Education (later National Louis University) and Butler University where she earned her Masters degree. This enabled her to fulfill her life-long dream of teaching elementary school.

Kitty spent her entire professional career teaching third graders at North Elementary and Hinkle Creek Elementary in Noblesville. She retired after 34 years, enjoying hours of reading, as well as watching new and old movies and enjoying British television. She thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her dear friends, new and old, and keeping in touch with former students. In nice weather you could find her enjoying her friends, her flowers, and the birds from her screened porch.

Kitty is survived by her sister Sally Crow (Chuck) of Noblesville, and her brother Doug Campbell, nephews Sam and Sean Campbell, and great nephew, Tristan Campbell, all of Houston, Texas.

There will be a memorial service and Celebration of Life at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, Kitty requested that memorial donations be made to Noblesville Youth Assistance Program, 17225 Kraft Court, Noblesville, IN 46060 (https://noblesvilleyap.org).

The family would like to thank Elevate Hospice for their care in her final days.
