Kathryn "Kathy" Tate

Kathryn Jo Tate, 45, of Cicero, passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at home after her courageous four year-long battle with breast cancer. She was born on October 22, 1968 to Phillip and Patricia (Coventry) Bowman in Crawfordsville, IN. Her mother preceded her in death.
She grew up in North Salem, IN and attended Tri-West High School graduating in 1987, and then graduated from IU Kelley School of Business. After graduating from college she spent her whole career in property casualty insurance.
In 1993 Kathy married the love of her life Scott Tate. Following her marriage to Scott she was blessed with the birth of her two daughters Alexandria and Courtney. Not only was she a loving wife and mother she was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. Kathy was also very involved in the community through Girl Scout leader, 4-H, Race for the Cure, school functions, and her daughter's lives. Kathy enjoyed camping, traveling, playing cards, and spending time with friends and family.
She is survived by her husband, Scott Tate; daughters, Alexandria Tate and Courtney Tate; father, Phillip (Delaine) Bowman; three brothers, Dan (Angie) Bowman, Jeramiah Bowman and Jacob (Tara) Bowman; and, four nephews and one niece. Kathy also leaves behind many life-long friends, many aunts, uncles, and cousin that are too long to list. She also leaves behind her favorite puppy Moose.
Services will be held at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Rd. in Noblesville, IN on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at 11:00 am. Visitation will be Friday, February 28, 2014 from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at Hamilton Memorial Park Cemetery in Westfield.
