Keith "KG" Watkins, 79, of Noblesville, passed away on Friday, July 19, 2013 at home. He was born on March 27, 1934 to Grant and Ruth (Hawbecker) Watkins in McCook, Nebraska.
KG, as most knew him, was employed at Western Electric for 30 years until it closed. He briefly worked at the Noblesville Ledger, before starting his own lawn service, and also served in the United States Navy. He was a dedicated father, and spent most of his retirement enjoying his grandchildren and watching them grow. He was a member of First Methodist Church in Westfield, he enjoyed woodworking, camping, and boating on Dale Hollow Lake.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Benita Watkins, sons, Mike (Tracy) Watkins, and Tony (Amy) Watkins; daughter, Sharon Watkins, five grandchildren, Erin, Luke, Jacob, Lexi, and Braeden Watkins; five nephews and one niece.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.
Services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, July 23, 2013, at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan Street, in Noblesville, with Pastor Phil Krupski officiating. Visitation will be Monday, July 22, 2013 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in Indianapolis.
