Kenneth Paul Keever

Kenneth Keever, 88, of Fishers, IN, passed away on Friday, December 15, 2023 in Carmel, IN.  He was born on July 8, 1935 to Ermon and Helen (Coston) Keever in Watseka, Illinois.

Ken graduated from Onarga High School in Illinois and then joined the Army Reserves.  He was a carpenter by trade his entire adult life, and worked at Ace Hardware in his retirement years.  Ken sang with several barbershop choruses, traveling and competing all across America and into Canada, and was a dedicated member of SPEBSQSA for over 60 years.  He umpired and coached girls' softball in Illinois for many years.  Ken was a member of United Christian Church, Country Club Hills, IL.  Ken and his wife, Saundra, volunteered at P.A.D.S. homeless shelter for many years during his retirement.  He was an avid Chicago Cubs, Bears, and Bulls fan.  

Ken is survived by his wife of 59 years, Saundra Keever; daughter, Carol Taylor (Sean Fitzgerald); grandson, Jay (Kathryn) Taylor; granddaughters, Keli (Alex) Anderson and Ashlee Fitzgerald; and great-granddaughter, Parker Belle Anderson.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-mother, Dolly Keever; sisters, Letty Brackett, Iris Sitarski, Donna Legan, and Doris Price; and his brother, Burt Keever.

Services will be held in Onarga, Illinois in the spring.
