Kimberly Jayne Jowitt, 58, of Noblesville, passed away on Sunday, July 27, 2014 at St. Vincent Hospice in Indianapolis. She was born on August 2, 1955 to David Morley and Jayne (Whitehouse) Berger in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Kimberly was a graduate of Heritage Christian School, and the IU Kelley School of Business. In 1978, she began her 37-year career with the Hamilton County Sheriff's Department, becoming a Merit Officer in 1982. Kimberly was the first female officer, first female investigator, and first female supervisor for the Hamilton County Sheriff's Department. She was a member of FOP #103 Francis Castor Lodge, and Golden Key International, and an avid gardener.
She is survived by her husband, Kevin Jowitt; daughter, Crystal Marr; sisters, Jennifer Boots, and Dawn Morley; half-sister, Sue Good; and step-father, Max Berger.
In addition to her parents, Kimberly was preceded in death by her sister, Celeste O'Neil; and grandmother, Virginia Houston.
Services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, August 1, 2014, at White River Christian Church, 1685 North 10th Street, in Noblesville, with Pastor Tim Brock officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, July 31, 2014 from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan Street, Noblesville. A private burial will follow the service in Martinsville, IN.
