Lana Ann McLean-Wilkins, 48, of Fishers, passed away on Friday, November 9, 2018 at IU University Health in Indianapolis. She was born on June 20, 1970 in Stuart, Florida. Lana and her older sister Dana grew up in Mississippi and Louisiana - moving frequently due to their stepfather's job working on the Mississippi River. At the age of 16 she moved to Indianapolis, IN where she graduated from Lawrence North High School. After working in retail management for several years, Lana obtained her nail technician license and embarked on a career as a manicurist. She loved the interaction with a variety of clients through the years - many becoming life-long friends. It was at a salon that she met her future husband, Jim Wilkins. Jim and Lana married and had their only child Ivan Andrew Wilkins in 1998. Lana loved children and animals and was actively involved in animal rescue by volunteering at various shelters. She enjoyed spending her free time with her family and relished her roles as a Wife, Mother, Sister and Aunt. Lana loved traveling to New Orleans and the Florida beaches until her health prevented the long-distance travel. She was active in her fibromyalgia online support group and was always the first to offer a helping hand to someone in need. Lana was preceded in death by her mother, Elizabeth Ann Hollen; father, Donald Ray Temple; grandfather, Ivan Arthur Hollen; grandmother, Mary Jane Hoover (Hollen); and cousin, Michael Hollen. She is survived by her husband, Jim Wilkins; son, Ivan Andrew Wilkins; sisters, Dana McLean Scott and Cathy German; nieces, Katherine Scott, Lauren McIntyre, Cori German and Leah Wilkins; nephews, Wesley McIntyre, Benjamin Scott, J. D. German, James Smith and Jonathan Miller; In-laws, Jim and Karen Wilkins; and cousins, Stacy Prickett, Benjamin Arthur, Heidi Wineland and Andrew Hollen.
