Larry D. Rush, 72, of Fishers (long time resident of Whitmore Lake, Michigan), passed away on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at Hamilton Trace Rehabilitation Center. He was born on July 17, 1943 to Thomas H. and Edna M. (Lund) Rush in Michigan.
Larry was married for over 51 years to his high school sweetheart, Peggy. He was an inventory manager at Johnson Controls Inc. for over 25 years while serving time in the Michigan National Guard for 6 years. He was a lifetime member of the Rod and Gun Club of Whitmore Lake. Larry was a loving father, husband, and grandfather that enjoyed being with family. He loved his tools and playing "Mr. fix-it" around the house with lots of paneling in their Michigan home of 49 years to prove it. He also enjoyed collecting Budweiser beer steins and model cars as well as playing euchre.
Larry is survived by his wife, Peggy Rush; sons, Keith Rush of Florida, and Kevin Rush of Michigan; daughter, Rhonda (Andre) Harris of Indiana; and grandkids, Alec and Rachel Harris.
In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his sister Nyla, who died shortly after birth.
Memorial time will be held this summer on Sunday, June 19th in Michigan at the Rod and Gun Club of Whitmore Lake.
