Larry J. Vaughan, 73, Noblesville, passed away Tuesday, October 28, 2008 at Riverview Hospital in Noblesville. He was born August 14, 1935 in Linden, Texas to Leslie and Nellie (Clark) Vaughan.
Larry had been employed in the automation maintenance department at St. Vincent's Hopsital for 22 years, retiring in 1997. He had also worked as a Lawrence Police officer. Larry was a member of Church Of God of Prophecy, in Noblesville, Indiana.
He had served in the U. S. Army.
He is survived by his wife, Myrna (Miller) Vaughan; daughter, Penny (Leon) Biddle of Cicero; son, Michael (Sally) Vaughan of Lebanon; son, John (Christine) Pence of Noblesville; daughter, Kathryn (Tresa Shea) Vaughan of Indianapolis; one brother, Eugene (Geraldine) Vaughan; four sisters, Joyce (Jim) Johnson, Margie (David) Harris, Mary Story, & Patricia (Jerry) Wall all of Texas, his step-mother, Lois Vaughan also of Texas, 7 grandchildren and 3 great-granddaughters. In addition several nieces and nephews also survive.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, November 2, 2008 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, Noblesville, with Rev. Mike Hunsinger officiating. Friends may call Sunday, November 2, 1:00 - 2:00 PM .
