Larry Duane White began his life journey on February 8, 1948, and reached his heavenly destination on October 26th, 2011. He was the oldest of four siblings, Gary White, Floyd Ferguson ( Jr. ), and Kathy Deel.
After his childhood in Edinburgh, IN, Larry served in the Marines and did two tours in Vietnam, receiving two Purple Hearts for being wounded in battle, among other accolades.
In 1984, he met Cheri Frank, and the two were married in January of 1985. In August of that year, they had their first son, Jordan. Eighteen months later, they welcomed their second son, Craig, into the world. As a family, the Whites were very active in their church, Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Noblesville. Larry and Cheri both attended church-led mission trips to Haiti, and fostered a young Haitian girl for a period of time to allow her access to medical attention she needed desperately. The two were also involved with coaching the two boys' various sport teams. He loved three things in life: his family, the Marines, and sports. In recent years, he provided hundreds of text messages to his family to inform them of the current score in the current ball game. He will be deeply missed as a husband, father, friend, and family man. He breathes now with no pain or suffering and is at peace.
