Larry David "LD" Wilson

Larry David Wilson, 78, of Carmel, died peacefully at his home on Tuesday, June 28, 2016. He was born on April 13, 1938 to Opal and Alah (Smith) Wilson in Bedford, Indiana.
Larry joined the United States Naval Reserves in 1955 and was honorably discharged in 1963. He graduated from Arsenal Tech High Scholl in 1956, and married Sandra Kay Hammack on August 24, 1974 in Carmel. Larry began working for Firestone in 1962 and worked for the company for 46 years. He was dedicated to the company and the Firestone brand, which showed in his hobbies. Larry had many interests, including classic cars, woodworking, attending the Indianapolis 500, Excel spreadsheets, garage sales, antiquing, and many more.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra; children, Thomas Wilson, Lorena (Daryl) Stewart, Laura Stokes, and Matthew Stokes; siblings, Jim and John Beeler; grandchildren, Shawn, Erin, Christopher, Patrick, Dan, Madeline, and Sylvia; and great-grandchildren, Jacob, Jaicee, Westin, and Peyton.
In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his daughter, Theresa Wilson and son, Dennis Wilson.
Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road in Noblesville, with visitation from 11:00 am to the time of service. Rev. David Layman will officiate.
