Laurance Alleyne

Laurance S. Alleyne, 86, Noblesville, passed away Sunday, May 3, 2009 at Riverwalk Village in Noblesville. He was born January 20, 1923 in Brooklyn, New York to Frederick Stanley and Fannie Alice (Gore) Alleyne.
Laurance served in the U. S. Navy during World War II. He had been a life insurance agent for Western Southern Life Insurance Company. After retiring, Larry had worked at Forest Park Golf Course. Larry attended First Christian Church in Noblesville. He enjoyed golfing, eating out and attending shows. In addition, Larry was a Cubs fan. He also regularly attended the Memorial Golf Tournament at Columbus, Ohio. Larry was a loving father, kind and outgoing with a wonderful sense of humor; he will be missed by all.
He is survived by two daughters, Christine Alleyne of Fishers and Sandra Alleyne of Indianapolis, and a special friend, Grace Tharp.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, May 6, 2009 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, Noblesville, with Rev. Glenn Kimball officiating. Friends may call Wednesday, May 6, 12:00 - 2:00PM at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home. Burial will be at Gravel Lawn Cemetery in Fortville.
