Lawrence Neil Horn, age 90, of Noblesville, IN, passed away peacefully at Harbour Manor Nursing Home on February 27, 2025. Neil was born on January 15, 1935 in Battle Creek, Michigan to parents, Lawrence and Lucrecia Horn.
He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Marjorie L. Horn. Also surviving are 4 daughters, Debra Roop (Bruce), Decatur, IN; Sherry Amstutz (Dan), Velpen, IN; Jennifer Horn, Cape Coral, FL; and Jenise Snyder (Nick), Noblesville, IN; 3 sons, Stanley Horn (Nancy), Noblesville, IN; Lon Fox (Robin), Yorktown, IN, and Tracy Fox, Cicero, IN; 14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Dewey Horn and Linda Freeman, both of Michigan.
Neil was preceded in death by his brother, Ron Horn; sister, Nancy Sickler; and sister-in-law, Miriam Horn.
Neil served the Lord in the Ministry for 17 years and orchestrated several building projects for those churches. He spent the next 27 years as an Insurance Agent, working with churches and pastors to make sure they were insured correctly.
He was a member of Harbour Shores Church where he taught Bible Study classes. He started Fellowship After 55 for the senior members along with a Nursing Home Ministry to bring church services to the nursing homes.
Another passion of Neil’s was for Jewish Missions. He started the Jew First Society. They raised money twice a year and all proceeds went to 7 ministries in Israel to win their own people to the Messiah.
Neil’s life verse: Philippians 1:6 “And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.”
Services will be held at Harbour Shores Church, 8011 East 216 St., Cicero, IN 46034 on Saturday, March 8, 2025. Viewing will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with the Service starting at 1:00 p.m. Burial to follow at Hamilton Memorial Park, 4180 Westfield Road, Westfield, IN 46074.
