Lee Roy Inness, 87, of Noblesville, passed away on Sunday, June 9, 2019 at Riverwalk Village in Noblesville. He was born on February 11, 1932 to Everett and Glenda (Simmington) Inness in Randolph County, Arkansas.
For 34 1/2 years, Lee Roy worked for Firestone as a server and forklift driver, retiring in 1986. He then worked for Burco Molding Co and retired in 1996. Lee Roy married Velma Lafern Burrow on January 26, 1950. They enjoyed traveling with family and also enjoyed going to Gospel concerts. In his earlier days, Lee Roy loved to roller skate and was a member of a CB club where his handle was “Scrubber Man”. He enjoyed woodworking, working on cars, bowling, flowers, and planting trees. Lee Roy loved his family dearly and cherished spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, especially at Easter.
He is survived by his daughters, Madonna L. (Jesse) Johnson and Letitia "Tish" (John) Hernandez; brother, Art Inness; sisters, Mary Belle Tanner, Evelyn Dirks, and Joyce Counts; 6 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Lee Roy was preceded in death by his wife, Lafern (Burrow) Inness; daughter, Mary Pierce; sister, Katherine Artz; and brother-in-law, Don Burrow.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, June 13, 2019 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan Street, in Noblesville. Services will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, June 14, 2019 at the funeral home, with Pastor Bryan Marler officiating. Burial will follow at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.
