Lena Bender
Lena Vale Bender, 85, of Westfield, passed away on Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at Riverview Hospital in Noblesville. She was born on January 27, 1926 to Sefton and Lorena (Harvey) McHugh in Connersville, IN.
Lena retired in 1997 after 20 years with American United Life Insurance Company in Indianapolis; and was a member of Westfield Friends Church.
She is survived by daughter, Karen (Donald) Miller; sons, Gale (Joan) Bender & Larry (Cheryl) Bender; nine grandchildren, Matthew Andreko, Rachel Andreko, Robin Miller, Jeremy Miller, Eric Bender, Renee Jackson, Bobby Nelson, Ricky Nelson & Jeffrey Nelson; brother, Meridith McHugh; sister, Nina Ziolkowski; and eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Hubert Bender (1998); daughter, Kathy Andreko (2004); and two sisters.
Services will be held at 11:30 am on Saturday, April 23, 2011, at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1685 Westfield Rd in Noblesville, with visitation beginning at 9:30 am prior to the service. Rev. Lou Herchenroeder will officiate. Burial will be at Summit Lawn Cemetery in Westfield.
Memorial contributions may be made to Westfield Friends Meeting 324 S. Union Street Westfield, IN.
