Linda Shantz

FISHERS, IN- Linda Jane Shantz, 72, of Fishers, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 25, 2013 at St. Vincent Hospice in Indianapolis. She was born August 18, 1941 in Princeton, IN to James F. and Clara (Powers) Hayden.
On July 12, 1963, she married the love of her life, Dean L. Shantz.
In addition to her husband of 50 years, other survivors include her daughter, Shellie (Derek) Redelman of Indianapolis; son, Douglas Shantz of Avon, OH and 3 grandchildren, Katelyn, Hayden and Grace Redelman, all of Indianapolis.
She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers, Larry and James Hayden.
Linda was employed for more than 17 years as the VA Coordinator for educational benefits at Ferris State University.
Visitation and services will be held on Wednesday, October 30, from 12:00 to 2:00 PM at Randall and Roberts Funeral Home, 12010 Allisonville Rd., Fishers, IN. Pastor Kevin McKinney of Fishers United Methodist Church will officiate. Following services, cremation will take place and her cremated remains will be buried at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Osceola, IN at a later date.
