Lisa Christine Lingle

Lisa Christine Lingle, 67, of Indianapolis, passed away on Thursday, November 22, 2018 at Heartway House. She was born on May 16, 1951 to Richard and Barbara (Mosher) Lingle in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Although Lisa struggled with significant health issues her entire life, she was an inspiration to many and maintained her independence until her final months. With an Education degree from Purdue, and a Masters in Special Education from Butler, Lisa taught in Indianapolis Public Schools for thirty-nine years.  She loved to travel and collect angels.  In her younger years, Lisa also enjoyed competitive ballroom dancing.
She is survived by her mother, Barbara Lingle; sisters, Susan (Bruce) Bartley and Catherine (Jeffrey) Platt; brothers, Stephen (Shelia) Lingle and Thomas (Bonnie) Lingle; step-mother, Beverly Lingle; step-sister, Julie (Craig) Miller; step-brother, Brad Olson; eight nieces and nephews; and five grand-nieces and nephews.
Her final Thanksgiving was enjoyed with several family members who were able to stop by to encourage her.  Each one departed without the realization that Lisa would take her last breath that very night . . . but inspired by the fact that she made it a point to personally thank every visitor.
Learning of her recent profession of faith, her family rejoices in knowing that she has been reconnected with other loved ones-most notably her father, Richard Lingle.  One of her final comments was:  "Christmas has always been my favorite time of the year."  Her family smiles at the thought of Lisa giving a merry greeting to the heavenly Host and all those who preceded her with:  "Jingle, Jingle . . . Here comes Lingle."
A celebration of life will occur at a later date. Lisa's family is thankful for the loving care provided by Anew Home Care, Clover Companion Care, and Heartway House.  The family has entrusted Randall and Roberts Funeral Homes with her care.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Anew Home Care, 3830 East Southport Road, Indianapolis, IN 46237.
