Lloyd D. Reinhardt, 85, of Indianapolis, passed away on Monday, after a battle with cancer. He was born on August 9, 1928 to Adolf and Hulda Reinhardt in Centralia, Illinois.
Lloyd had an engaging personality, was a friend to many, stranger to none. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving in the Korean War, and retired as a superintendent at Ford Motor Company. He was an avid pilot, reader, traveler, and enjoyed playing cards, and spending time with family and friends.
The world will be missing a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend.
He is survived by three daughters, Tia (Douglas) Martin, Lynn (Jack) Wolf, and Annesa (Steve) Brewer; plus nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sylvia, whom he married in 1957.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, September 27, 2013, at Randall & Roberts Fishers Mortuary, 12010 Allisonville Road, in Fishers. Visitation will begin at 12:00 Noon, at the funeral home. A private entombment will be held at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in Indianapolis.
