Lorn Curtis 'Curt' Roberts, 79, of Noblesville, passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2011 at Riverview Hospital in Noblesville. He was born on January 3, 1932 to Luther and Dollie (Travis) Roberts in Lee County, VA.
Curt was retired from Chrysler of Indianapolis after 30 years of service. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran, having served his country during the Korean War. While in the Air Force, he was awarded a Good Conduct Medal and Korean Service Medal with two Bronze Stars. He was a member of Noblesville Baptist Church; the U.A.W; and enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. Above everything else, Curt loved and cherished his family and was a friend to everyone he met.
He is survived by wife, Georgia Roberts of Noblesville, IN; children, Wilma (Clark) Biddle, Lawanda (Mike) Malan, Barbara (Steve) McDonald, Sue (Larry) Murdock & Beth (Jerry) Simmons Minnick; siblings, Lora Cathern Cox, Clarence F. Roberts, Shirley Ann Lawson & Melba Loretta Mercer; grandchildren, Danny & Brian Biddle, Katy Malan, Matt Murdock and Steve & Charlie McDonald; and six great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, James Henry Roberts and sister, Thelma Jean Davis.
Services will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, April 11, 2011, at Noblesville Baptist Church, with Pastor Gene Parker officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, April 10, 2011 from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan Street, Noblesville. Burial will be at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.
