Louis Herman Gatlin, Jr

Louis Herman Gatlin Jr., 77, of Fishers, passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at his home. He was born on April 14, 1947 to Louis and Margie (Newby) Gatlin in Memphis, Tennessee.

Louis was a telecommunications engineer for Indiana Bell for many years, then in his retirement years, he worked at Kroger. He and his wife owned S&L Communications and S&L Concessions. Louis enjoyed going to casinos, playing golf, and loved all kinds of sports. 

He is survived by his wife, Sylvia Gatlin; son, Ken Gatlin; daughter, Pamela Gatlin; grandchildren, Michael Gatlin, Kashmir Pharis, Trenton Pharis, Taylor Ratcliff, and Dakota Jessee; and great-grandchildren, Summer Pharis, Harper Miller, Parker Ratcliff, Olive Ratcliff, Stephen Jessee, Ava Jessee, Rayna Jessee, and newest to the family, Montgomery Gatlin.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and grandson, Stephen Harness Gatlin.

A celebration of life will be held from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Monday, December 9, 2024 at Randall & Roberts Fishers Mortuary, 12010 Allisonville Road, in Fishers.
