Lt. K. Scott Leininger, 49, of Noblesville, passed away from an extended illness on Saturday, June 23, 2012 at IU Health Tipton Hospital. He was born on July 20, 1962 to William and Joyce (Moody) Leininger in Tipton, Indiana.
Lt. Leininger was a 27 year veteran of Noblesville Police Dept. and has served as a patrol officer, patrol supervisor, shift commander, training commander, and support services commander. He was certified as a Master Instructor by the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy and had served as an Emergency Vehicle Operation instructor for many years. He was a member of the F.O.P. Lodge #198.
He is survived by his parents of Atlanta, Indiana; two brothers, Craig (Karen) Leininger, of Tipton; and Brent (Leslie) Leininger, of Atlanta; plus nieces & nephews: Justus, Chloey, Quincie, Cole & Kray.
Services will be held at White River Christian Church, 1685 N. 10th Street, Noblesville, on Friday, June 29, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Mark Ward officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, June 28, 2012 from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road, Noblesville, as well as one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery in Tipton, Indiana.
