Lucy Thornton

Lucy Thornton, 88, of Noblesville, passed away on Wednesday, August 14, 2019, in Noblesville.  She was born on April 26, 1931, to Joseph and Ruth (Byrne) Kinlin in Hyde Park, Massachusetts.

Lucy was a homemaker who enjoyed baking and traveling.  Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Lucy is survived by her children, Susan Whitaker (Charles), Philip Thornton (Jody), Cynthia Thornton (Bud), and Lucy Thornton; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brother, Donald Kinlin (Donna); sister, Marilyn Harris; as well as many nieces & nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Philip Joseph Thornton; as well as four sisters and two brothers.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 noon on Monday, August 19, 2019, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, 9900 East 191st Street in Noblesville, with visitation from 11:00 am to the time of mass at the church.  Rev. Tom Metzger will officiate.  Burial will be at Saint Joseph Cemetery in West Roxbury, Massachusetts.

Randall & Roberts Funeral Home of Noblesville has been entrusted with Lucy's care.
