Lyell B. Stevens

Lyell Batterton Stevens, 87, Fishers, passed away Sunday, May 3, 2009 at Carmel Care Center. He was born November 24, 1921 in Colfax, Illinois to Roy and Belva (Batterton) Stevens.
Lyell retired in 1981 from Eli Lilly, where he had been an engineer. He was a graduate of University of Illinois; a member of the 80th Infantry Division of the U.S. Army; a member of Geist Christian Church; and a member of Broad Ripple Sertoma.
He is survived by his wife, Anita (Hereford) Stevens of Fishers; daughters, Pam Minier of Camden, IN, & Linda Taylor of Noblesville; 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a daughter, Lori Stevens Lone; and a sister, Catherine Sanders.
Services will be held at 10:30AM on Thursday, May 7, 2009 at Randall & Roberts Fishers Mortuary, with Pastor Mark Briley officiating. Friends may call Wednesday, May 6, 4:00 - 8:00PM at the funeral home. Burial will be at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in Indianapolis.
