Maeble I.(Alexander) Steczysyn, 91, Indianapolis, passed away Tuesday, May 12, 2009 at Westminster Village North in Indianapolis. She was born May 1, 1918 in Almond, Arkansas to Herman Ira and Mary Caroline (Tatum) Alexander.
Maeble had retired from the U.S. Army Department of Finance, after many years of service. She had been a volunteer at Crossroads Rehabilitation Center for many years. Maeble loved reading, gardening and bird watching. She especially loved doting on her grandchildren.
She is survived by two daughters: Barbara (Michael) Dooley of Beavercreek, OH and Lana (Dan) Bradbury of Fishers, IN; a sister-in-law, Doris Alexander of Flippin, AR; and her beloved grandchildren, Sarah and Stephen Bradbury.
She is preceded in death by her husband Roscoe Steczysyn.
There will be no local services. Graveside services will be held at 11:00, Monday, May 18th at Little Rock National Cemetery in Arkansas.
