Margaret C "Meg" Emerson Carmack

Meg Emerson Carmack, 63, of McCordsville, passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2015. She was born on January 30, 1952 to Frank and Jane (Ford) Campbell in Noblesville, Indiana.
Meg graduated from Noblesville High School in 1970. A lifelong Hoosier, she earned her B.A. in political science from IU and completed graduate studies in textiles from Purdue. Meg began her career as a paralegal, and in 1997, she earned her MSW from IU and began her career as a therapist and counselor. She volunteered at the Indianapolis Art League and the Indiana Repertory Theater.
Beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend, Meg is survived by her husband, Lannie Carmack; son, Jesse (Trisha) Emerson; daughter, Kristin (Dan) Emerson Kelley; son, Alex Emerson; brother, Bill (Sara) Campbell; and grandchildren, Colton & Nora Emerson.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Joe C. Emerson; and siblings, Bob Campbell and Mary Campbell Wright.
Services will be held at 6:00 pm on Friday, September 11, 2015 at Randall & Roberts, 1150 Logan Street, Noblesville, with visitation from 3:00 pm to the time of service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Nature Conservancy, Attn: Treasury, 4245 N. Fairfax Drive, Suite 100, Arlington, VA 22203-1606.
