Margaret Kay "Susie" Ragsdale Fox died August 27, 2009. She was born November 25, 1937 in Zion, Illinois to Donald Elsworth and Margaret Lydia (Tennent) Ragsdale. Susie was the youngest of five siblings. She married Richard Floyd Fox at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Indianapolis on November 14, 1959. He precedes her in death.
Susie retired from Riverview Hospital where she worked as a nurse's aide and then as an emergency room ward clerk, where she saved lives and entertained patients and staff alike. She was a member of Five White Women in White Van; the Indianapolis F.O.P. #86 Auxiliary; and Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church.
She is survived by a brother, John "Jack" Ragsdale of Lafayette, IN; a sister, Dorothy Jo Miller of Beech Grove IN; two foster brothers, Ivan and Irvin Ferguson of Indianapolis, IN; her five devoted children: Elizabeth Anna Matteucci Miller of Westfield, IN, Lisa Diane (Christopher) Galster of Noblesville, IN, Scott Richard (Shaun) Fox of Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, Aimee Jo (Timothy) Allen of Fayetteville, NC; 14 beloved grandchildren: Sara Elizabeth Matteucci of Portland, OR, Daniel Ray (Jennifer) Matteucci, Brian Scott Miller, Amanda Sue Henman Goff, Annee Elizabeth Galster, Whitney Nicole "Nikki" Galster, Mark Jason Galster, Krista Marie Galster all of Noblesville, IN, Kelsey Leigh Maxwell & Hailey Amanda Maxwell, both of Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, Riley Kyle Allen, Dempsey William Allen, Ferris Michael Allen, Finley Patrick Allen all of Fayetteville, NC; five adored great-grandchildren: Adessa Rose Fitzpatrick, Nicco Giovanni Matteucci, Blaze Elliot Goff, Gage Jonathon Goff, Trinity Grace Goff all of Noblesville, IN; and many fondly remembered nephews & nieces.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death two brothers, James and Robert Ragsdale; and a son, Harry Fox.
Susie's remains have been entrusted to Indiana University's Anatomical Education Program. She requested all memorial contributions be made to Riley Children's Hospital or St Jude's Children's Hospitals.

An informal remembrance celebration will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2009, from 4:00-9:00PM at the Galster Fox home.
