Margie Ruth McElroy

Margie Ruth McElroy, 71, of Noblesville, passed away on Sunday, June 26, 2011 at Riverview Hospital in Noblesville. She was born on April 2, 1940 to Everett and Ruby (Lundy) Ely in Pennington Gap, Virginia.
Margie worked as an X-Ray Technician at Riverview Hospital, Noblesville, for 33 years. She attended Noblesville Baptist Church. She enjoyed watching basketball, especially IU teams, and spending time with her children and grandson.
She is survived by her husband, Herbert "Bud" H. McElroy; daughter, Sheri (Mike) Pharris of Noblesville; son, Douglas McElroy (Susan Hawes) of Cicero; four brothers: Jay (Betty) Ely of Bloomington; Wayne (Patricia) Ely of Noblesville; Ken (Dee) Ely of Noblesville; and Larry (Vickie) Ely of Noblesville; four sisters: Joy (Jim) Mills of Pennington Gap, Virginia; Brenda (Bill) Iles of Noblesville; Mary Brooks of Noblesville; and Linda (Dan) Parker of Sheridan; one grandson, Aaron Pharris; plus several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, June 30, 2011, at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road, in Noblesville, with Pastor Bob Schon officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 29, 2011 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.
