Maria Nellie Yason, a retired educator from E. Rodriguez High School in Quezon City, Philippines, has joined our Creator on February 22, 2020 at 86 years young.
Maria is survived by her husband, Diony, whom she married on May 5, 1962; and her children, Ludette, Carol, Jason, Patricia, Eric, David, Michael, Paul, and Mark.
Another son, Christopher, was taken by our Lord for himself.
Maria was born to Vicente and Margarita Dalman on December 4, 1933. She was the oldest daughter and third among seven children.
Maria was a devoted wife, loving mother, and caring sister. She loved nothing more than to prepare meals and entertain her family and friends so much so that her home came to be known as "Nellie's kitchen". Through her guidance, all her surviving children have earned respectable professions. Even while managing her family, Maria did not neglect her siblings, reaching out to help anyway she could. Maria was beloved by her students, most of whom have taken over important duties in the community. Her co-educators hold Maria to the highest esteem.
