Mariana Sparks

Mariana Sparks, 90, of Noblesville, passed away on Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at The Lodge Assisted Living in Noblesville. She was born on April 9, 1924 to James and Marian (Lisman) Melton in Dixon, Kentucky.
Mariana had been a teacher at Bloomfield High School and Worthington High School, where she had taught everything from Science to Physical Education. She was a member of Folsom Memorial United Methodist Church in Worthington, IN; and enjoyed gardening, camping, spending winters in Texas, and watching the Pacers.
She is survived by daughter, Teresa (Brian) Herrington; grandchildren, Lora (Derek) Weed and Joshua Herrington; great-grandchild, Ezra Weed; brother and sister-in-law, Jewell & Lowell Sparks; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Bill Sparks.
Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, December 20, 2014, at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan Street in Noblesville, with visitation beginning at 1:00 pm immediately prior to the service. Pastor Dan Crosley will officiate. Entombment of ashes will be at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.
