Marilyn J. Cobb, 82, of Fishers, formerly of Indianapolis, passed away on Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at Miller's Senior Living Community in Indianapolis. She was born on January 7, 1938 to Fred and Marie Louise (Howard) Pierce in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Marilyn graduated from Arsenal Tech High School in 1955 and received an associate's degree from IUPUI. She experienced many vocations: Marion County librarian, Indianapolis Gun Club, owner of Husky Ice Co., Riverview Hospital, Mom and Grandmother, to name a few. Marilyn was a member of Fishers United Methodist Church where she was active in the Blanche Circle.
She is survived by her sons, David A. Cobb, Steven T. (Matilda) Cobb, and Dennis W. Cobb; daughter, Melissa (Randy) Slagle; sisters-in-law, Marie Pierce and Lou Pierce; 8 grandchildren; 2 great-grandsons; as well as several nieces & nephews.
In addition to her parents, Marilyn was preceded in death by her brothers, Robert Pierce and David Pierce.
Services will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, October 4, 2020 at Randall & Roberts Fishers Mortuary, 12010 Allisonville Road in Fishers, with visitation from 1:00 pm to the time of service at the funeral home. Dr. Ben Greenbaum will officiate. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery in Fishers.
