Marion E. Adams

Marion E. Adams, 95, of Noblesville, passed away on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at Riverwalk Commons in Noblesville. He was born on May 3, 1919 to Harley and Ruth (Whitson) Adams in Lawrenceville, Illinois.
Marion proudly served his country in the United States Army during World War II. He was a truck driver, working for Caca City Mill & Elevator for 36 years, and then Builders Concrete for 19 years. Marion attended Refuge Christian Church.
He is survived by his children, Marian Marshaleen Phillips, Donna Kay (Sam) Cecil, Danny Joe (Jennifer) Adams, and Helen Ruth (Jimmie) Kitterman; eight grandchildren, John Wade Damron, Marsha Karina Beckley, Karl James Damron, Timothy Jay Adams, Joey Nicole Adams, Danielle Lynn Bullock, Amanda Jo Durnell, & Joseph Scott Cecil; ten great-grandchildren, Lynsie Damron, Cassie Beckley, Crystal Beckley, Victoria Adams, Nicholas Adams, MacKinzie Cecil, Samantha Cecil, Anna Durnell, Brady Durnell, & Graham Cantrell; and three great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Marion was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Ruth Adams on January 17, 2004; siblings, Malcolm Keith Adams, Paul Adams, and Ernestine Mills; grandson, Jamie Wayne Kitterman; and great-grandchildren, Isaac Beeson & Kendra Durnell.
Services will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, December 29, 2014, at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road, in Noblesville, with Rev. Stanley R. Sutton officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, December 28, 2014 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.
