Marion H. Roelofs , 82, of Noblesville, IN passed away on Saturday, August 4, 2012 at Riverview Hospital in Noblesville. She was born on September 14, 1929 to Hans and Suze (Pfiffer) Helling in Muskegon, Michigan.
Marion had been a financial aid officer for over 10 years at Muskegon Business College and Baker College. She was a graduate of Muskegon High School, Muskegon Business School & Muskegon Business College; and was a member of P.E.O. Sorority. She and her husband, Bil, worked together in the family business at H.D. Helling Meats in Muskegon. She and Bil owned & operated a golf course in New Mexico; and also worked together in the golf industry at courses in Texas, California and Colorado. Marion & Bil retired near their daughter Jane in Indiana.
In addition to her husband, William 'Bil' John Roelofs, she is survived by daughter, Jane (Donald) Elliott; sisters, Liechen (Dr. Ronald) Hoeksema & Susan (Robert) Hickman; brother-in-law, Bruce Baker; granddaughter, Monique Jamison; great-grandson, Elijah Jamison; and many nieces & nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by son, Jon Droste Roelofs; and sister, Frances Baker.
