Marjorie was a secretary for the US Air Force, Firestone, and Statesman Insurance. She was an exemplary wife, mother, and grandmother.  She showed her love through the work of her hands.  Her hobbies included quilting, crocheting, knitting, gardening, sewing, baking and cooking.  She used these abilities to give to her family and society.  One example includes the many dolls, blankets, and scarves she made for underprivileged children.  Marjorie was a member of Cumberland Road Christian Church, Eastern Star, and Ruth's Woman's Circle, and received awards from PrimeLife Enrichment for her extensive volunteer services. Additionally, she was a generous contributor to the Disabled American Veterans.
She is survived by Alton West Hinshaw, whom she married on an Easter Sunday April 6, 1946.  They were happily married for 64 years.  When asked by her granddaughter to reflect on the happiest memory of her life she replied, "The day your grandfather asked me to marry him." They raised four children together in Arcadia, IN - Teresa Ann (Paul) Coverdale, Jody Jean (Charles) Jones, and Gary Alton Hinshaw.
As she raised her children, Marjorie was an active member of Arcadia Christian Church.  She was the Youth Director for Arcadia Christian Church and Youth of Arcadia.  After raising their children in a meticulously clean farm house in Arcadia, IN they moved to their current residence in Noblesville.
