Marsha F. (Morrison) Sampsell, 58, of Noblesville, passed away Wednesday, September 24, 2008, after a long battle with heart disease. She was born in Chatham, Ontario Canada on February 8, 1950 to the late Charles and Delores (Morgan) Morrison.
Marsha was the first female Steel Sales Representative in the United States for Armco Steel. She purchased and operated Unified Neighbors in the 1990's before selling the business, which is now Angie's List. In recent years, she worked as a sales specialist for various firms.
She was an avid golfer and a former member of Woodland Country Club in Carmel, including the Women's Golf Group and the Christmas Club to aid the underprivileged. She was a frequent finalist in the Indianapolis City-Wide Golf Tournament and was invited to and played in the U.S. Ladies Amateur Open.
Marsha is survived by her daughter, Sydney D Sampsell, 17, a student at Fishers High School; brothers, William (& Patricia) Crum of Layton, UT, & Charles (& Carolyn) Morrison of Greer, SC; sisters, Sharron Moore of Kingston, Ontario Canada, & Beth Taylor of Noblesville; brothers-in-law, William Sampsell, & Thomas Sampsell; sister-in-law, Pam Fitzpatrick; and many nieces & nephews, great-nieces & nephews, and great-great nieces & nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Lee Sampsell; mother-in-law, Dorothy Sampsell; and father-in-law, Fred Sampsell.
There will be a visitation for family and friends on Saturday, September 27, from 1:00 - 3:00PM at Randall & Roberts Fishers Mortuary.
Memorial contributions can be made to a trust fund for her daughter, Sydney Sampsell.
