Martha Locke

Martha A. Locke, 81, of Noblesville, passed away on Thursday, October 4, 2012 at IU Health University Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born on July 16, 1931 to Burris and Leta (Griffith) Grubb in Greenwood, Indiana.
Marty taught 36 years in the Noblesville Schools, mostly at North Elementary. She was a member of Noblesville First Christian Church; Delta Kappa Gamma Sorority; and the Indiana Retired Teachers Assc.
She is survived by two sons, Hugh (Rachel) Locke & Ernest (Kathy) Locke; brother, Ernest Grubb; sister, Alice Jane Logan; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Hugh David Locke; and sister, Jean Downey.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday Oct. 13, 2012 at 12 noon at Randall & Roberts Logan Street Chapel with Pastor John Ray officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, October 13, from 10:00 am until the time of service.
