Martin 'Marty' G. Stough, 79, of Noblesville, passed away on Friday, December 6, 2013 at home. He was born on September 22, 1934 to Ralph and Elsie (Collins) Stough in Lagrange, Missouri.
Marty had been an engineer for General Telephone in Westfield for 25 years. He had also worked with his son at Green Vista Landscaping in Noblesville for 14 years; and King Systems in Noblesville for 10 years. He graduated from the University of Illinois and proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Army, where he was stationed in Japan. He was a member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church in Noblesville, where he was involved in Happy Gleaners and the Pillow Case Ministry; and was a member of the Senior Citizens Organization in Noblesville. Marty enjoyed fishing, golfing and playing Euchre; and was an avid Colts and Pacers fan.
He is survived by wife, Carol Stough; son, Kevin (Karen) Stough; daughter, Martina Craig; grandchildren, Nick Ewins, Clint Craig and Darsey Morgan; great-grandchild, William Martin Ewins; sister, Chris Schork; step-grandchildren, Jeff (Sandy) Eiler and Jodi (Tim) Robison; step-great-grandchildren, Kristen (Brad) Munson, Brandon Eiler, Daphne (Kyle) Lippott, Josh Robison and Blake Eiler; and step-great-great-grandchild, Brooklyn Munson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Lloyd Smith, Dorothy Bornman, Wilbur Smith and Georgia Vass.
Services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, December 9, 2013, at Emmanuel United Methodist Church, 16000 Cumberland Road, in Noblesville, with visitation beginning at 10:00 am prior to the service. Pastor Jeff Buck will officiate. Burial will be at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in Indianapolis.
