Mary Lou Farr Bauer, 88, of Fishers, passed away on Thursday, April 21, 2016 at Wellbrooke of Carmel. She was born on July 5, 1927 to Robert and Aletha (West) Farr in Stinesville, Indiana.
Mary Lou attended Gosport High School and Ben Davis High School, as well as Lincoln Christian College and Approved Beauty School. She worked as an administrative assistant for the Indiana State Police, was the owner/operator of Mary Lou's Beauty Shop, and retired after 20 years with the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency. Mary Lou was a member of Hazel Dell Christian Church, and was the forwarding secretary for Central Japan Christian Mission.
She is survived by her children, Nathan (Sally) Bauer, Kay (Carl) Chapman, and Jackie (Christopher) Blackwell; seven grandchildren, Steven Bauer, Tonja Bowser, Ross Chapman, Grant Chapman, Christy Knapp, Ben Blackwell and Danny Blackwell; as well as eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Mary Lou was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Bauer in 2007; and siblings, Cecil Farr, Evelyn Farr, Bob Farr, and Kathleen Pratt.
Services will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, May 2, 2016 at Randall & Roberts Fishers Mortuary, 12010 Allisonville Road, in Fishers, with Pastor Mark Wright officiating. Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Sunday, May 1 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in Indianapolis.
