Mary Jane (McMahon) Cook, 82, of Noblesville, passed away on September 14, 2016, at Riverview Health. She was born on May 12, 1934, to Harold and Martha (Mallery) McMahon in Noblesville, Indiana. She was a 6th generation resident of Hamilton County. Her mother's family settled here in 1820.
Mary Jane was a 1952 graduate of Noblesville High School, and attended Indiana University. For 38 years, she worked in accounting for Firestone Industrial Products, and also worked for McMahon Food Company. Mary Jane was a member of Noblesville First United Methodist Church and Tri Kappa Sorority, and was a supporter of Noblesville High School Alumni Association. She loved to play bridge and enjoyed her bridge club with her lifelong friends. She enjoyed swimming in her pool, entertaining guests, and landscaping. Most of all, Mary Jane was a devoted mother and grandmother, and loved her family.
She is survived by her children, Deborah Jane Cook Patterson (husband Keith), James Bradley Cook (wife Christine), Sharon Rose Cook Fuqua (husband Dan), and David Scott Cook; brother, Earl McMahon; four grandchildren, Kevin Michael Patterson, Kelly Patterson Clark, Jennifer Cook, and Savannah Rose Fuqua; and two great-grandchildren, Ashlyn Rose Clark and Zoey Catherine Clark.
In addition to her parents, Mary Jane was preceded in death by her five brothers and sisters, Phyllis Douglass, Harold "Bud" McMahon Jr., Betty Wolverton, Esther Goodwin, and Ed McMahon.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, September 16, 2016 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan Street in Noblesville. Services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, September 17 at the funeral home, with an additional visitation from 10:00 am to the time of service. Burial will be at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.
