Mary Virginia (Slaughter) Durham, 86, Noblesville, passed away Tuesday, February 17, 2009 at Riverwalk Village in Noblesville. She was born April 5, 1922 in Selma, Indiana to Dennis and Ruth (Whitezel) Slaughter.
Mary worked for over 20 years as a secretery for the Anderson Community Schools. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Noblesville, Indiana.
She is survived by her daughter, Suzanne Durham of Fort Wayne, Indiana; daughter, Nancy Durham Pouzar and Doug Pouzar of Noblesville, Indiana; daughter, Carolyn Durham Lucas and Kevin Lucas of Taylors, South Carolina; sister, Constance Baker of Lexington, Kentucky; 6 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren, and 14 nieces & nephews.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ralph Durham, Jr., who died in 1975 and 3 sisters, Martha Alice Sheets; Isabelle Allison; and Harriett Wilkins and her brother Maurice Slaughter.
Services will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, February 20, 2009 at First Presbyterian Church, with Pastor Eric Gale officiating. Friends may call Thursday, February 19, 3:00 - 7:00PM at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home in Noblesville. Burial will be at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery at a later time.
