Mary Helen Miller, 94, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, December 21, 2010. Mary Helen was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Reed Marion Miller. They spent most of their lives in Noblesville, Indiana. Mary Helen graduated from Noblesville High School and Reed graduated from Sheridan High School.
The loving couple had two sons, Stephen Reed Miller (Jan), Noblesville and James Guy Miller (Shirley), Indianapolis. They were grandparents to Steve and Jan's daughters, Jennifer and Scott Marshall, Cincinnati, Julie and Terry Roberts, Noblesville, and Jim and Shirley's sons, Brian, Austin, Texas, and Mark, Indianapolis. Great-grandchildren include Jennifer's children, Josh and Ashley Gregory and Julie and Terry's Hunter and Tyler.
Mary Helen was an 80+ year member of First Christian Church, Noblesville where she served many years as a deaconess, prepared weekly Holy Communion, and was active in Christian Woman's Fellowship. Her father and mother, James and Nellie McNeal provided homemade grape juice for Holy Communion for many years. She enjoyed many years of active service in Noblesville Tri-Kappa where she and many friends provided community assistance projects to benefit the greater Noblesville. Mary Helen mentored many young girls at Noblesville Junior and Senior High School. She and her friend and neighbor, Betty Ford, served many years in the Riverview Hospital Gift Shop.
A Christian home going celebration of Mary Helen Miller's life will be conducted at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan Street, Noblesville at 10:30AM on Friday, December 24, 2010, with calling beginning at 9:00AM prior to the service. Tom Macy, Senior Pastor of Faith Missionary Church in Indianapolis, IN will officiate.
Memorial contributions may be made to Riverview Hospital.
