Mary Katherine Perkins

Mary Katherine Perkins, 81, of Noblesville, passed away on Thursday, August 15, 2024 in Noblesville. She was born on December 29, 1942 to Harvey and Evelyn (Russell) Steele in Indianapolis, Indiana. 

She married Kenzel "Ken" Perkins in 1957 and they raised their family in Indianapolis. Upon Ken's retirement they moved to Jabez, Kentucky for the next 20 years. Once Ken passed in 2019, Mary returned to Indiana to be closer to her family. 

Mary was a homemaker for many years while raising her family, then went to work for Tappen Company and held other factory jobs. She attended New Life Church and enjoyed playing BINGO. Mary loved the holidays, especially Christmas, and spending time with her family. She loved being a mom and grandmother. 

She is survived by her children, Steve (Susan) Perkins, Judy York, and Rick (Linda) Perkins; grandchildren, Nicole Wray, Stevi Perkins, Josh Perkins, Amy Perkins, Matthew Perkins, Austin York, Zachary Perkins, Miranda Perkins, Marissa Perkins, and Joey Perkins; several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and brother, Frank Steele. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Kenzel "Ken" Perkins; son, Jeffrey Perkins; brothers, Larry, twin brothers, Tommy and Ronnie, and Bobby; and sisters, Jeanie, Betty, and an infant sister. 

Visitation will be from 10:30 am to 1:00 pm, with services at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, August 21, 2024 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road in Noblesville. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Indianapolis.
