Mary Katherine Wix

Mary Katherine Wix born June 2, 1929, the daughter of Dallas and Elsie Boring. Mary grew up in Elwood, IN and attended Elwood High School.  She married Leonard Jewel 'Joe' Wix on November 26, 1948.  They were married for 26 years and to that union were born 6 children: Jeanine (Jeffery) Shelburne, Linda (deceased), Fred (Susan) Wix, Michael (Drelinda) Wix, Kathy (Martin/Sonny) Castor, Nancy (Roger) Stewart.
Mary's grandchildren are: Bradley Shelburne, Rebecca Shelburne (deceased), Andy (Serina) Shelburne; Sarah Wix, Lauren Watson; Tiffany (Jim) Manis, Shanna Wix; Dustin Castor, Jody Castor, Lexi Castor; Ricky (Amanda) Huffman, Wendy (Derrick) Dean, Tabitha (Zach) Dallas.
Mary is survived by 16 great-grandchildren and 2 more on the way.  One great-granddaughter preceded her in death.
Mary worked at the Sheridan Children's Home for 25 years, performing various support and staff duties, and received a commendation for her years of service.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 26 from 4-8PM at Randall & Roberts, Noblesville, with funeral services on Thursday, March 27 at 1 PM, officiated by Chaplain Carol Sowle of Aseracare Hospice.
